So naturally, the new Apple Store opening there is suitably fancy.The brick-and-mortar store, located at the corner of East 74th Street and Madison Avenue, will open to the public on Saturday at 9 a.m. ET. The building was the former home of the U.S. Mortgage & Trust Bank in the 1920s, and Apple designed the space to capture the elegant spirit of that age.Apple will even use the original bank vault in the basement for a VIP showroom, which makes sense;
