Google Street View is slowly but surely conquering Earth's land surfaces, but the oceans — which cover more than 70% of our planet — are still largely untapped territory. On Thursday, Google narrowed the gap a little by adding Street View imagery from more than 40 locations around the world, many of which are underwater. The imagery was collected in partnership with XL Catlin Seaview Survey, NOAA's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries and the Chagos Conservation Trust.
