And if they wanted to send their location to a Facebook friend, they either manually typed in the address or jumped into a different app to send places on map, usually via text. "One of the things we realized is that the way we’ve been doing location was sort of limiting," acknowledged Facebook Messenger Head of Product Stan Chudnovsky.
